Profile
James is an educator from Brisbane, Australia. He has worked primarily with students from preschool to
high school age, and specialises in teaching in an immersive all-English environment.
James studied at the University of Queensland in his hometown and also completed his ‘Certificate in
English Language Teaching to Adults’ (CELTA) from Cambridge University.
James has worked various education roles in multiple cities in China since 2013, including Head Teacher
and Senior Consultant in Shanghai, and Foreign Academic Manager in Zhengzhou.
His most noteworthy achievements include the development of the ‘Treasures Reading and Writing Course’
and the establishment of the ‘GT English’ brand.
James has also been involved in over a dozen published creative writing projects and uses his writing
expertise and unique methodology to teach creative writing.
Employment Objective
I am seeking employment as an English teacher in Zhengzhou in order to familiarise myself with the local
market with an emphasis on its particular needs and styles of education. I hope to further broaden my
experience as a well-rounded educator. I am committed to this endevour for a period of one to four years
and possibly longer.
